| This initiative starts on the occasion of the celebration of the International Book Day that is celebrated today | The Department of Culture of the City of Totana and the Spanish Red Cross will provide book services at home of the Municipal Library "Mateo García", which begins on the occasion of the celebration today of International Book Day.This joint initiative that will be provided to the entire population of Totana and its districts aims to bring culture to the homes of the municipality during this time.The service will be carried out two days a week by Totana Red Cross volunteers and consists of taking the books from the library fund on loan to the homes of the people of Totana and districts that request it throughout the period that lasts confinement.The loaned books must be returned to the premises of the Municipal Library "Mateo García", located in the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel", when it is opened to the public.The loan will always be made considering the prevention measures of the COVID-19.This service that was created due to the state of alarm, can be studied in order to give it continuity over time, maintaining it for people with reduced mobility.In order to access the service, you must call the Library telephone number 968421089 from 9 a.m.
