The Local Police arrested a man a few days ago for a crime against road safety in compliance with the provisions of the Royal Decree on the state of alarm, according to sources from the Headquarters of this Body. The events occurred on April 16, around 5:30 p.m., when the agents proceeded to control a tourism on the Camino Hondales in this municipality, after observing that it was occupied by four people, three of them together in the back seat. In addition, the driver gave off a strong smell of alcohol, so he was required to voluntarily carry out tests to determine the degree of alcoholic impregnation by the expired air method, according to the same sources. In the first test carried out, the driver gave a result of 1.18 mg / liter in exhaled air, refusing to carry out the second test.
After that, the agents were informed that they were going to be arrested for refusing to submit to the legally established verification tests.
In this way, the vehicle was deposited in municipal offices, and the detainee was brought to justice.Likewise, to all the occupants of the vehicle, in addition to the driver, a disciplinary file was opened for article 36.6 of LO 4/2015 on Protection of Citizen Security, disobedience or resistance to the authority or its agents in the exercise of their functions.
, by failing to comply with the obligation not to travel on public roads, except in the cases provided for in article 7 of Royal Decree 463/2020 declaring the state of alarm, which could be classified as a serious penalty with a fine of 601 to 30,000 euros.
