This initiative joins the Photography contest and the activities of handicrafts, Storytelling, Poetry, Yoga, History of Totana and Mysteries about Notebooks of La Santa
The Department of Culture has organized the Painting Contest for Schoolchildren, a telematic initiative that aims to stimulate social and creative activity for the duration of the confinement decreed by the state of alarm as a result of the coronavirus health crisis.
This initiative is in addition to those promoted in the Photography contest and the activities of handicrafts, storytelling, poetry, yoga, the history of Totana and mysteries about notebooks of La Santa;
all of them included in the “Totana from home” program.
The works that comply with those prepared by students of any educational center, public or concerted for Infant and Primary Education, of the municipality of Totana will be valid.
The theme of the contest is free of how children spend these days at home, what we see from our balconies and windows, what they feel and leaving freedom of what they want to express.
The drawings must be manual, not admitting digital drawings;
and the
Participants are free to use the technique they want (separately or mixed; pencils, waxes, tempera, watercolor, collage, etc.).
In addition, only one drawing per child will be accepted and its size is A4 sheet.
The jury will be made up of the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Vernica Carricondo, and two technicians from the City Council and the Plastic Arts monitor Pako Salcedo as a specialist.
The jury will decide the winning works two weeks after the completion of the house confinement, evaluating they will value both the originality of the drawing and the quality of the same, keeping in mind the age of its author.
The drawings should be sent to the email totanadesdecasa@gmail.com to upload them on the corporate facebook of the Department of Tourism

Likewise, the participants must indicate in the mail the name and age of the child, name and contact telephone number of the father / mother and / or guardian, identifying the school in which they are studying, to locate the author in case to be the winner.
The Department of Culture establishes three categories of awards:
- Category A. Early Childhood Education students.
- Category B. Students studying 1st to 4th of Primary Education.
- Category C. Students studying 5th and 6th of Primary Education.
The author of the best drawing in each of the categories will be awarded a voucher for school supplies worth 60 euros at the Totana stationery stores;
and these prizes cannot be substituted for money.
