This supply line is allowing, together with other coordinated initiatives and private individuals, to provide this material (masks, gowns, overalls, PPE and shoe parcas) to the health workers of the Health Center, Civil Guard, Post Office, nursing home , Army Military, professionals and neighborhood or social groups that are most vulnerable and exposed to possible contagions.
In addition, more than 30 companies from different business or commercial sectors of Totana and a dozen individuals - some anonymously - have selflessly donated different emergency material for their clothing or already cut and manufactured for distribution by Civil Protection .
To these altruistic initiatives are added those promoted by the seamstress workshop coordinated by the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross in Totana and other women who, individually, are working on the preparation of these protection elements for the general population.
Similarly, a cushion manufacturing company in Alhama de Murcia donated material to make another 8,000 face masks that are being manufactured by another group of 30 women coordinated by Civil Protection.
Local Police and Civil Protection publicly thank the solidarity gesture of so many companies and neighbors, in particular, they are delivering this valuable material at this time so delicate to contribute and collaborate in the protection of professionals and volunteers of citizen security and emergencies in this municipality, which are so exposed during these weeks as a result of the pandemic.
