The Totana City Council will shortly launch a telematic service for job counseling and guidance, through the municipal website www.totana.es that allows residents to interpret essential activities and services under the law decree approved this past Sunday by the Council of Ministers, coinciding with the social and health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Interested persons must complete a form for queries and doubts, so that they will be answered by municipal technicians;
who will guide you about your concerns and will refer you to the services or administrations in charge of the resolution.
Municipal employees will only guide users and in no case will they resolve or process documentation that may be processed by other public bodies.
The norm establishes that workers of non-essential activities cannot go to work between this Monday, March 30, and next Thursday, April 9, both inclusive, to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The measure is taken through a recoverable paid leave, so workers will not lose their wages but will have to recover hours after the state of alarm, before December 31.
The decree law leaves dozens of activities outside the recoverable paid leave (see the official list here. In addition, the permit does not apply to workers with a temporary employment regulation file (ERTE) or to those who telework from their homes.
Employees who receive paid leave must agree in 7 days (when the alarm state ends) how to make up the lost hours.
The deadline to recover them ends on December 31 of this year.
The new decree does not prevent companies that consider it from presenting new ERTEs.
