The president of the Totana Irrigation Community, Felipe Andreo, today delivered to the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, a total of 7,000 protection masks so that Civil Protection volunteers proceed in a staggered manner to distribute them over the next few days between most affected professionals and social groups.
Civil Protection has been collaborating since last week in the active distribution of the masks donated by Totana companies and individuals to health professionals from both Health Centers, Local Police and Post officials, responsible for the NGOs that cooperate with the neediest or "homeless".
In addition, they are participating in the transfer of the different workshops for sewing and making masks and gowns that are developing in a disinterested way in recent days in Totana, as is the case of the one promoted by the Spanish Red Cross, and others on a private basis.
The mayor thanked the community body for its commitment and collaboration in these difficult times with society in Totanera;
and has encouraged them to continue on the path from their respective positions of professional and labor responsibility to combat this pandemic.
