The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Totana City Council have organized the "Totana from home" Photography Contest, a telematic initiative that aims to stimulate social and creative activity for the duration of the confinement decreed by the state of alarm to root of the coronavirus health crisis.
This activity is part of the “Totana from home” cultural activities program, which aims to promote the entertainment and fun of families at home.
This also includes others such as Storytelling, Drawing Contest, Creative workshops for children, Yoga Initiation, Books and Cinema from home, "This is your Story, discover it from home" and "Mysteries in the Notebooks of La Santa".
The contest is promoted in two categories: 1.- "From my window" and 2.- "I stay at home", with which you want to encourage the cultural, artistic and creative dynamics of the participants during this time of home collection .
In the first category, "From my window", the work must be done from the window or balcony of the houses in order to collect images that allow us to check what photographers see from their homes, such as a monument, a dawn, a sunset, the initiative of sanitary applause or the staging of other neighbors.
In the second category, "I stay at home", the photographs must include snapshots of daily life and routines that are carried out to make time more bearable in their homes.
All the photographs in both categories can be accompanied by a brief explanatory comment that accounts for the content of the snapshot (thus it scores more, and much more if it is original and creative).
The contest will last as long as the state of alarm remains and the requirements are to be of legal age;
and each contestant can submit a maximum of two photographs per category.
Those interested should send the scanned ID or, failing that, a photograph of the ID on both sides.
The works (and attached documentation) must be sent to the email configured for the occasion totanadesdecasa@gmail.com and, in addition, will be shared on the Facebook profiles of the Totana City Council (Tourism).
The winner in each category will be the image that I like and have the most comments (with comments, it is doubled, according to the bases, in order to activate the participation of users).
The prize will be a dinner for two at a restaurant in Totana and special tickets to visit the La Bastida archaeological site this summer.
The winners will be announced by the Totana City Council in their official information tools and in the media, so that they can collect their prize at the offices of the Department of Culture, at the Sociocultural Center "La Crcel" when end the alarm state.
The Councilor for Culture, Vernia Carricondo, encourages all photography lovers and creative people to participate in this initiative in which the quality of the photography does not matter so much as it describes the feelings and sensations that each work offers to share with the neighbors of Totana.
