The Local Police yesterday sanctioned 17 people for disobedience or resistance and has intercepted twelve more vehicles on public roads for driving without justified permission, which brings this number to 42 in this municipality since the state of alarm entered;
plus those processed by the Civil Guard.
In addition, in the last 24 hours it has identified 104 more people in application of the measures contained in Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, which declares this situation of national exception.
Thus, since last Sunday, 454 identifications of people who were traveling on public roads, 236 controls on vehicles and six closings of activity of premises are counted;
plus all those that the Civil Guard has formulated.
The members of the State Security Corps and Forces and the Local Police will maintain fixed and mobile controls, following the instructions of the Ministry of the Interior to combat the epidemic and prevent the spread of infections.
In addition, these restrictions are going to be increased starting tomorrow in stores and commercial establishments in order to control their closing times, by virtue of the order of the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Crafts of the Ministry of Business, Industry and Spokesperson, and the Mayor's Office;
both decreed yesterday Saturday.
Local Police and Civil Guard officers comb, in permanent coordination, the main places and transit spaces for citizens and vehicles throughout the day, advocating compliance with the restrictions and measures to combat the epidemic.
From the Totana City Council, citizens are required to respect mandatory house confinement measures because it is the best tool to avoid contagion, at the same time that police officers are more exposed to contagion, in addition to the risk of by themselves they have to protect the safety and health of the population.
Likewise, it is recommended that all business and economic activity be closed, with the exception of basic necessities;
and merchants are urged to adhere to the time restrictions set with the start of the new week.
