The Totana City Council has decided from today to close access to the facilities of the municipal cemetery "Nuestra Señora del Carmen" in Totana and the parish church of El Paretón, so that only service workers may access for the performance of their internal work with the stipulated restrictions.
This decision is made in view of the proximity of the Father's Day festival, San José, and until further notice in order to avoid unnecessary concentrations of people.
In addition, the access of a maximum of 15 people to burial acts is authorized, suppressing public prayers and keeping security measures.
Public fountains in parks and gardens have been ordered closed in order to avoid contact with taps and other items.
Similarly, street cleaning and disinfection of areas that are more frequented, for work reasons or for the acquisition of basic necessities, such as pharmacies, health centers and department stores, are being intensified.
Similarly, level 1 of the Civil Protection Plan in Totana is activated within the Territorial Plan for the Region of Murcia, which is implemented for those emergencies that either affect more than one municipal term or due to its severity or scope they require the intervention of the resources of the Autonomous Community not previously attached to the Municipal Plan as the municipal resources are totally surpassed.
Likewise, up to now a total of 18 more sanctions have been processed by the Local Police for disobedience and the closure of activity of an establishment by virtue of the state of alarm and the measures contained in Royal Decree 463/2020, of 14 of March.
