The Musical Association of Totana has prepared an ambitious and extensive program of cultural activities on the occasion of the celebration of its 40th anniversary that is commemorated during this year 2020.
The Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, the band's director, José Ãngel Palazón, and Professor María Corbalán, have presented the cast of activities included in this musical program.
The program is aimed at celebrating this 40th anniversary of the Musical Association of Totana under the internal methodology of operation of this entity, in which every month there is a hashtag aimed at coordinated work and focused on this reference.
The program kicks off this March 14 with the traditional Holy Week Marching Concert with the prestigious Dani de Baza, and March 21 with the Marching Concert dedicated to Santa María Magdalena, which this year illustrates the Holy Week poster from Totana.
In addition, on April 6 the Holy Week Marching Concert and the awards ceremony of the First Photography Contest will be held;
while from April 5 to 12 the Band will participate in different parades and processional activities in Holy Week in Totana and Cartagena, respectively.
The program continues in April, on the 26th, with the “In Family†Concert, while in May the “Knowing the Pasodoble†Concert will take place together with the “Amigos de la Música del Paretón†Music Band.
In June the traditional auditions will be held at the end of the year of the students of the School of Music and Encounter of Choirs.
Already in July, within the patron saint festivities of Santiago, it will be on the 18th, the XXX Festival of Music Bands “Ciudad de Totanaâ€.
After the summer, November 8 will be the Gala Food of the 40th Anniversary of the Musical Association of Totana;
From November 23 to 27, the Cultural Week and Open Doors Day will be organized.
The Concert of the II Young Interpreters Contest will take place on November 27.
The program of musical activities will conclude on December 20 with the traditional Christmas Concert.
The promoters urged interested people to follow in the profiles on social networks that the Musical Association of Totana boasts this list of activities, in which places and times will be informed.
Finally, the councilor congratulated the Musical Association for the organization of this program that allows them to continue growing and open to the totanera society;
and highlighted the care with which they treat the School of Music for the exceptional work they do with young people.
He also stressed that with their work they transmit capacities to the quarry of musicians and youth;
as well as values ​​such as discipline, effort, sacrifice, concentration, among others.
José Ãngel Palazón urged people to participate and integrate by contributing to the dissemination of music by opening the doors to everyone and seeking the enjoyment and knowledge of people and music lovers.
