The Permanent Extension Headquarters of the University of Murcia in Totana organizes the conference-colloquium of Professor José Manuel López Nicolás at the "Mateo García" Municipal Library on Tuesday, February 25, starting at 8:00 p.m.
López Nicolás is the author of several books, the most recent "A scientist in the supermarket. A journey through the science of small things", whose title will also name this activity organized by the Permanent Headquarters of the University of Murcia In this town.

José Manuel López Nicolás is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Murcia, recently he has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Transfer and Scientific Culture of this university.
In addition, it stands out for its research and teaching work, for having extensive experience as a popular science disseminator.
His scientific dissemination blog 'Scientia' has won numerous awards and recognitions: the Bitácoras in 2013, 20blogs in 2014, ASEBIO Award for the scientific dissemination of Biotechnology in 2014, Honorable Mention of the Prisma Awards in 2014, Prize for the best website La Verdad 2015.
In 2016 he received the ASEBIO special jury Prize for his career in the world of scientific dissemination, in 2018 the Díaz Bautista Culture Award and in 2019 the first Prize in the International Science in Action in the Modality Contest 'Works of Scientific Dissemination.
