Sangonera la Seca hosted last Friday, February 14, the Regional School Sports Chess Final, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, where 13 totaneros schoolchildren belonging to the Santiago, Reina Sofía, La Cruz teaching centers participated and Prado Mayor.
In the juvenile category, it is worth mentioning the fifth place achieved in the team modality by the Santiago School, formed by the following students: Jaime Canovas Crespo (17th), Antonio Tudela Pérez (18th), Fermín García Tudela (22th) , Ãngel Corbalán Pérez (25 °), Joel Encalada Andreo (26 °) and Francisco Javier López Abellaneda (37 °).
On the other hand, in the individual modality, the best classified totanero was Mario Romera Carreño, of La Cruz College, which finished in 10th place in the general classification.
As for the Open category, it is worth mentioning Juan José Andreo Cánovas, from the IES Prado Mayor, who is ranked 15th in the general classification.
