The Local Government Board has approved the proposal of the Councilor for Education, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, for which the City Council will finance with 2,200 euros to the Federation of Carnival Clubs to collaborate with the parades of the Children's Carnival, 200 euros for each school .
Since 1988 the Children's Carnival has been held in Totana, and facing this year 2020 the Federation of Totana Carnival Clubs, in collaboration with the Infant and Primary education centers and the Mothers and Fathers' Associations, return to Organize the parades in Totana and El Paretón.
The City Council of Totana wishes to collaborate with the organization of school parades: the one that took place last Saturday, February 15 in the hamlet of El Paretón, with the participation of the Guadalentín school;
and on Sunday, February 23, in the urban area of ​​Totana.
In the latter case, the schools of La Cruz, Santiago, La Milagrosa, Tierno Galván, San José, Reina Sofía, Santa Eulalia, Deitania, Luis Pérez Rueda and the Clara Campoamor Infant School will participate.
For its part, the Federation of Peñas del Carnaval de Totana undertakes to organize such Children's Carnival parades (February 15 at 4:30 p.m.; and February 23 at 11:30 a.m.) and comply with the established legality and sign civil liability insurance for parades.
The agreement includes that by the Federation of Peñas the collaboration of the Department of Culture in advertising be staged, and present at the end of the activities and, in any case, before January 31, 2021 an explanatory report of the developed activities, as well as certified photocopy of the invoices that justify the expense of said activities.
