The Local Government Board has recently approved to sign a collaboration agreement between the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche and the City Council of Totana for the realization of the educational cooperation program, which allows the realization of training practices in the Day Centers to students of this academic entity.
The Miguel Hernández de Elche University has presented to the Consistory totanero a collaboration proposal for the implementation of educational cooperation programs of its students in the City Hall.
This measure is adopted having, at present, a student interested in conducting training practices in the Day Centers for the Elderly of the City of Totana in the coming months.
This agreement will enable the development of external academic practices of the UMH students with the objective of allowing them to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training, favoring the acquisition of skills that prepare them for the exercise of professional activities, facilitate their employability and Build your entrepreneurship.
This agreement will be in force, without exceeding the term of 4 years, from January 29, 2020 until September 30, 2023.
In the near future, José Juan López Espín, Vice Chancellor for Students and Coordination of the UMH, and Juan José Cánovas, Mayor of Totana, will sign this collaboration agreement between both institutions.
Students will be able to carry out internships by supporting different tasks and developing the skills of observer and active collaborator according to the evolution of the tasks of a nurse, psychologist, physiotherapist and coordinator of the center, in addition to studying the tools used in these public centers .
