The Coato cooperative has attended the Biofach fair, in Nuremberg (Germany), to present its offer in organic products and strengthen its presence in the international market as a leading operator in the sector.
During the celebration of this event, the representatives of Coato, headed by its president, José Luis Hernández, have presented their range of organic products in the largest global showcase of organic farming and have held work meetings with national and international companies, with The objective of strengthening ties for the development of projects.
Coato is present in Biofach with its own stand, where it will show more than 100 references of products and elaborates of its own production, among them, almond, oil, paprika, broccoli, table grapes and honey, all of organic elaboration.
Coato officials have also maintained contacts with Francisco Javier Mate, deputy general director of organic farming and designations of origin of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and with Ălvaro Barreda, president of Ecovalia, the most important certification body in Europe.
As a company responsible for the environment, Coato has presented to distributors and final customers the different lines in which it works within the ecological sector.
The Totana-based cooperative has more than 20,000 hectares for crops, of which 13,000, 65%, are for organic farming.
The company is one of the main European references in surface area and range of products and organic products of its own production, since more than 90% of what is grown and processed goes to the international market.
Coato's consolidated presence in the European market is backed by the quality of its fresh, organic, processed and industrial products.

Biofach, which ends this Saturday, February 15, is the reference fair in organic products.
This year it has more than 2,900 exhibitors from around the world and 45,000 square meters of exhibition.
In 2019, the fair had more than 52,000 visitors, more than half of them international.
