The Councilor for Equality, Javier Baños, presented last night the story "The Planet Iris" by the writer Lía Gonzaga also known as "Sergeant Emilia" because he is an agent of the Local Police in Murcia- and illustrating the duo "Los Mendrugos" illustrated Juan Ãlvarez and Jorge Gómez-, in the municipal exhibition hall "Gregorio Cebrián".

The story presents a wonderful story about difference and integration, in which the illustrators Juan Ãlvarez and Jorge Gómezfon were responsible for converting the universe imagined by the author into colorful and original images.

This illustrated story takes place in different worlds and different galaxies, which magically fit in a book: Planet Iris, which deals with the inhabitants of the planets Blue, Green, Yellow and Red, where certain rules prevail.

On the blue planet, its blue settlers look like robots and work with the precision of a clock.

The inhabitants of the Red planet are very bossy and don't like to listen;

They only care about money and war.

Life runs like slow motion on the Green planet, where everyone is a lover of nature, but they give so many turns to things that have become distrustful and treacherous.

On the other hand, the yellows are very versatile artists, who do not like norms or obligations.

Fed up with so much boredom, violence, distrust and chaos, some of these inhabitants have abandoned their galaxies to find another place to live.

After several months of interstellar travel through the Olimpus galaxy, the four ships land on a new asteroid that they have called Iris: an uninhabited planet where diversity is now hope.

Lía Gonzaga has been with the Local Police for more than 30 years.

Despite being a teacher, psychologist and journalist, she has never considered changing her profession.

He is passionate about his work and continues to practice it, at street level, as an inspector.

Written press columnist, who signs as Sergeant Emilia, has started in the story world with his collection Blue Hearts to make his experience as a policeman available to the school and childhood community.

On the other hand, Juan Ãlvarez and Jorge Gómez met in 1985 and began to collaborate, combining drawing and color, in the magazines TBO, Bruguera, Totem, Zona 84 and also on Thursday, since 1990, with Los Mendrugos, Captain Diana, Lucia;

sexology cabinet and currently Hera and her pumping stuff.

His works have been published in national headers such as DT, Front Line, Interviú, Penthouse or Crecer felize international such as Blue (Italy), L´echo des Savanes (France) and Playboy USA.

At the same time, under the App & Canvas seal, they develop educational content for mobile devices.

At the University of Murcia they are a reference on comic, illustration and graphic humor.

The event was also attended by the Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, and public interested in this pedagogical and didactic initiative.
