A technician of the Department of Tourism of the City of Totana will be part of the future Tourism Advisory Committee of the Region of Murcia, a newly created body that will be linked to the Regional Tourism Institute and composed of municipal technicians.
The Plenary Session of the City Council of Totana already approved, in its last session unanimously and at the proposal of the Municipal Socialist Group, to incorporate a municipal representative expert in this matter in said entity.
The Tourism Advisory Committee of the Region was created with the aim of designing new offers to complete the tourist experience of visitors to this autonomous community and to value the tourist resources of each municipality that, as of today, remain unknown.
The adhesion of a municipal technician from Totana will allow to include in the regional offers that can be visited all the places of tourist interest and values, highlighting and proposing the singularities and attractions of this municipality to be highlighted and included in any future regional project at the tourist level.
La Bastida, La santa, Holy Week, the Los Huertos area, music and folklore, among others, must charge in this committee, according to the approved motion, the importance and uniqueness that they contain and be empowered against the tourism model of sun and beach that has prevailed in the Region of Murcia for decades.
