The Department of Sports reports that on Friday, January 24, the Local Phase of School Sports Basketball began, in the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" and in the School Room, organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Totana.
The program started in this mode with the first day in the juvenile category, which has the participation of twenty-three teams from the different schools in the town, which will play a first group stage and then a final phase with the best classified each one of them.
As for the Benjamin category, the competition starts next Friday, January 31, and in this case fourteen teams participate, and they will have the same competition system as the juvenile category.
Finally, the male children's category began its competition last Wednesday, January 22, with the participation of three teams, belonging to the Reina Sofía and IES Juan de la Cierva schools, which will play all against all, as a league, to finally determine the champion of the category.
