Transparency must be a pillar of our society as reflected in Law 19/2013, of December 9, on Transparency, Access to Public Information and Good National Government, as well as Law 12/2014, of December 16, on Transparency and Citizen Participation of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
Both Laws recognize the right of citizens to access information, and the obligation of the Administrations such as the City Council to facilitate it.
In this sense, Totana must move forward and we must, as public officials, ensure that we offer and provide citizens with access to all issues that may be of interest to them.
Similarly, it is necessary for citizens to be knowledgeable about municipal management.
It is also very important to remember that achieving greater transparency implies reducing distrust and regaining credibility with the population.
For all these reasons, the Municipal Socialist Group considers creating the following areas within the Transparency Portal:
1- Motion tracking area.
It would collect information related to the date of presentation, title, who proposes it, result (approved unanimously, approved, rejected) and status (pending start, pending or completed).
2- Monitoring area of work commissions.
It would collect information about the creation date, its purpose, the state and the date it is called.
