Santa Eulalia Festival Program 2019

The councilor of Celebrations, Verónica Carricondo, has arranged a wide and varied program of activities of the festivities in honor of Santa Eulalia this year, which will be held from November 29 to December 15, organized by this municipal department with the invaluable

 collaboration of numerous social and neighborhood groups in Totana.

The Department has produced a total of 3,500 hand programs, with a die-cut image of the Patroness of Totana, which will be distributed from today at the Tourist Office, the Socio-Cultural Center "La Cárcel" and the Department of Celebrations - lower floor of the City Council - while stocks last.

In addition, a distribution of 4,000 magazines has been made, which also includes the program of acts and varied articles written by different collaborators related to the celebrations.

The festivities start this weekend with the celebration of the traditional Medieval Market, in the Balsa Vieja and Constitución squares; and the inauguration of the Fair of Attractions, in the fairgrounds.

Among the novelties this year is the Day Fair, from December 5 to 10, in the Balsa Vieja square; and the Night Fair, in this case, in the auditorium of the municipal park “Marcos Ortiz”, from December 5 to 8, respectively.

This next weekend there are also numerous recreational and sporting activities, many traditional, such as the V Scooter Rally “Vespa Totale”, the XV Meeting of Classic Vehicles and autocross, rugby, skating and chess tournaments.
Cultural activities have a relevant role in the program with the Musical Evening "Cuerdas y Voces de Totana" and the Santiago Choir, the Ethnographic and Historical Route and the theatrical visit "Totana, feud of the Order of Santiago", among others. In addition, guided tours of the La Bastida archaeological site and the Tower of Santiago Museum are of interest.

A stand out music event are the ABBA Tribute concert and Ars Poliphonica Vocal Ensemble. Likewise, it is worth highlighting the Gastro-Festive Fair organized by the ASEMHOS and CHACT hotel associations during the busiest days of the festivities. The mayor of Festejos has thanked associations and professional and neighborhood entities of the municipality for their collaboration and involvement in the preparation of this festival program that is "attractive and aimed at all audiences"; and has maintained its commitment to continue working to expand it in coming years. He also wanted to recognize the work of the different municipal departments as well as the Local Police, Civil Protection and Civil Guard for their help in organizing and making possible the celebration of scheduled activities.
