The Vice President of the Government and Minister of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, showed this Sunday her support for the International Association of Relatives and Affected of Lipodystrophies in the VII Annual Gala of the AELIP Awards, which this year He has recognized the Marzipan Band, Victoria Cava, the City Council of Totana, Akcea Therapeutics, the Health Advisor, Manuel Villegas, the IES San Juan Bosco, the Peña Barcelonista de Totana, the FCB World Penyes Federation and Margarita López Trascasa, among others.
During his speech, Isabel Franco recalled the regional government's commitment to people suffering from rare diseases and stressed that Murcia is a pioneer in the implementation of the non-face-to-face inter-consultation, which allows family doctors and pediatricians to consult the coordinating unit Regional Rare Diseases of the Arrixaca, avoiding patient displacements.
Attendees at the gala, held in the municipality of Totana, were also able to enjoy a children's and youth fashion show and a raffle of products donated by businesses in the area and whose proceeds will be used to research lipodystrophies.
