The City of Totana, through the Department of Social Welfare and Equality and the Municipal Social Services Center, has established the creation of a Coordination Table between organizations and entities that work to improve employability with groups at risk or social exclusion in the municipality.
Recently, a work meeting was held, in which the different agents and entities that have a presence in Totana participated, among which the Councilor for Social and Equal Assets, Javier Baños, together with technicians from the Municipal Center of Social Services , and representatives of the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil", Nypacold, Red Cross, CAVI, SEF, Local Development Center, Caritas Tres Avemarías, Caritas Santiago and Abraham Project.
The objective of this tool is to improve the coordination mechanisms between the different organizations and entities that carry out actions in Totana aimed at improving employability with groups that are in a situation of social and labor vulnerability.
Although it is true that there was already some coordination between these entities and organizations, now the networking is established in a more specific and coordinated way, developing mechanisms for its implementation, and realizing a sharing of the different resources offered by each of they.
This first meeting has taken place at the headquarters of the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil", where each of the employability programs developed by each entity have been presented, and the review of referral procedures between entities
After the great result of this meeting, it is established that periodic meetings will be held in which these issues and others related to the employability of the municipality and attention to these vulnerable groups will be addressed.
