The Department of Environment recalls that the service of collection of household goods and plant or pruning remains that are generated especially in this time of summer in different areas of the municipality and that is provided free of charge throughout the year, requires the request for an appointment to give notice of its withdrawal.
Likewise, it is informed that people who are interested have to request an appointment through the municipal telephone service 968/425308 so that users are at home on the day of withdrawal.
During the summer weeks, the removal of plant waste from second homes is usually intensified, especially in the urbanization "La Charca" and the areas of Los Huertos de Totana.
From this department it is reiterated that it is convenient for users to deposit the plant remains, if possible, in closed bags next to the plot of their property or residence in order to facilitate the collection by the service operators.
Garbage Deposit Schedule
The Department remembers that the schedule for the deposit of garbage in summer is from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. every day of the week except Saturday nights;
and warns that the Local Police can sanction users who do them late.
The deposit of urban solid waste bags in the containers causes bad odors as a result of the high temperatures that are recorded at this time of year, so the Department urges citizens to make a responsible and civic use of the withdrawal of waste in the containers.
