The program of Animation to the Reading "Travel with us", organized by the Municipal Library "Mateo García", has counted this past year with the participation of 2,076 students of the educational centers of Totana, in the period included from Infantile Education until sixth grade of Primary Education, respectively.
The program corresponding to the 2018/19 school year started at the end of last October with the activity "Traveling behind the track", aimed at students in 5th grade of Primary Education;
and ended at the end of last May with "Poet in New York" for first-year students.
In the first quarter, 6th graders had the opportunity to listen to author and psychologist Aurelia García with her story "Nico and Sinra": this story leads us to know how to differentiate our fears and how to manage our emotions in the face of these fears.
In addition, the quarter ended with the Storyteller for Children 5 years "What does the moon taste like?"
In January, the program was resumed with the activity "Fly with the stories of the world" for students in the fourth year of Primary Education.
In a playful way, the children were able to visualize the customs, language and currency of Spain, China, Morocco and Ecuador.
Throughout February, the second grade Primary School students worked on the classic stories through the activity "The Pirate's Treasure".
And third parties with "Échale theater"
In April, and coinciding with the activities proposed on the occasion of Book Day, the "I go with me" animation was held for the sixth year.
And in May we traveled by the hand of the poet Federico García Lorca and his work "Poet in New York" for first grade students
