The Department of Water and Sewerage has made the record of reception and serving the potable water distribution pipeline built in recent weeks along the Rambla de La Santa, in the Tirol Camilleri neighborhood.

The works finished last week and have been undertaken during the month of July by the company "Instalaciones Hergasa 2006, SL" for 9,314.34 euros.

The distribution of drinking water networks in the urban area consists of a mesh of pipes that supply all established properties.

In addition to this, from the urban center they split networks of radial form for the supply to parcels that are in the low zones of the mentioned urban helmet.

These radial networks, of very old construction, have raffled off all the existing infrastructures in the territory, such as the railroad track, the Mancomunidad Canal de las Canales del Taibilla, ramblas, roads and highways.

At the same time, they present, in some sections, paths that run through privately owned plots, because formerly the installation of the pipes was carried out with the shortest possible length.

One of these networks suffered a breakdown inside a private plot where buildings are built that make repair impossible, so the Municipal Water Service had temporarily left the pipeline without service.

This breakdown was affecting the subscribers who are supplied from the aforementioned network, since the provision of water that was done temporarily from another network did not cover the needs completely.

This impossibility resulted in the need to install a new section of the network to, to the greatest extent possible, eliminate the layout on the inside of the private plot and put into service the supply to the network that reaches the railroad.

Due to the conditions that appeared, the sector authorizations of the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Canals and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation were necessary;

and since this action is considered of public interest since it concerns the supply of drinking water to citizens.

The layout was located outside private lands, with the exception of the final section, in order to protect the works for maintenance;

For this purpose, the access road to the existing private farm next to the Rambla has been chosen.

This was the only possibility to trace the by-pass of the damaged section, since there is no road on the northeast side of the land.
