The children attending the Summer School that the Association of Rare Diseases D'Genes is carrying out in Totana have worked as bakers for a day.
This morning they had the opportunity to prepare some delicious pepper cakes, with the invaluable collaboration of Panadería Cañizares, who wanted to collaborate and teach the little ones how these delicious pieces are made.
Within the framework of the activities organized in this leisure and free time program that takes place in July in some units assigned by the City of Totana in the Social Center of the Las Peras Olympic neighborhood, the visit of Ginés Cañizares, from the traditional Totanera bakery Cañizares.
There, with the help of the small assistants, to whom he has shown the whole process, two trays of cakes have been prepared that have subsequently been taken to the oven for cooking.
Once done, children and monitors have given a good account of them.
D´Genes is carrying out during the month of July its Summer School program in Murcia, Cartagena and Totana with the total participation of about thirty children and with the organization, according to the municipality, of different activities, such as trips to parks, visits to shopping centers, pool days…, in addition to crafts, workshops and games in the centers where the programs are being carried out, respectively.
