The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the operation 'GROBER', has arrested, for alleged crime of theft with force in things (escalo), a person dedicated to the theft of effects of the interior of homes and other properties in the town of Totana.
With the operation, which is framed in the 'Plan against theft in homes', several crimes against property have been clarified and some of the effects reported as stolen have been recovered.
The proceedings began several weeks ago, when the Civil Guard had news of the criminal acts on the occasion of the complaints presented by the injured parties, some events that had caused social alarm among the population.
During the investigations it was found that the alleged perpetrator used to use the same modus operandi to penetrate the buildings: climbing through the balconies of the façade or jumping through the interior courtyard.
At times, the now detainee executed his actions and the inhabitants were sleeping inside.
Thus, in the course of one of the robberies came to be surprised by one of tenants of housing.
Once he had accessed the interior of the building, he stole small items of simple transportation and sale, putting them in a garbage bag to be transported together easily, since he did not use any means of transport, but was on foot escape .
The indications obtained during the investigation oriented the agents towards an individual, with numerous antecedents, that could be after the robberies committed.
Once identified, finally, the Civil Guard culminated the exploitation phase of the operation with the arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the facts investigated, and the recovery of the effects stolen in one of the houses.
The meticulous analysis of the information obtained in the investigation process and the recovered effects imply other similar facts to the detainee.
The detainee, a man of Spanish nationality, 22 years of age and neighbor of Totana, together with the recovered effects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 3 of Totana.
