The Fourth Evening of Havanans and Popular Songs of Totana is held this coming Friday, July 19, in the auditorium of the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz", starting at 9:45 pm, with the participation of a total of five groups local.
The Councilor for Culture, Veronica Carricondo, accompanied by representatives of some of the choral groups, in this case, Miguel Jiménez and Maruja Moreno, presented this cultural activity within the program of patron festivities of Santiago 2019.
In the event, which has free admission, the groups Amigos de la Habanera, Choir Santa Cecilia, Cuerdas y Voces de Totana, Choir of San Buenaventura and Coral Santiago will meet.
Each of the groups will have a maximum time of 25 minutes and, finally, all the participants will interpret a piece together as a colophon to the event.
The mayor of Culture encouraged the general public, but the young person in particular, to give appointment in this cultural event;
which was retaken in the previous term after a few years without being held.
In addition, he highlighted the great work carried out by these groups in the cultural promotion and musical tradition in the municipality;
and he underlined the great oral value that they develop in the popular cultural context of a composition that arrived at the beginning of the 20th century, and the merit of its tradition in a location far from the coast, such as Totana.
