The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, accompanied by the councilors Pedro José Sánchez and Inmaculada Blázquez, closed last Friday the XV Training Days aimed at Affected with Inhibitor and their Families, which were organized by the Murcia Regional Association of Hemophilia, and in the which involved more than thirty people.
The sessions were held at the Day Center and Permanent Training in Hemophilia of "La Charca";
and they also had the president of the Regional Murcian Association of Hemophilia, Dr. Totanero Manuel Moreno, and the president of the Federation of Murcia Associations of People with Physical and Organizational Disability (FAMDIF-COCEMFE-Murcia), Carmen Gil.
Children and young people or family members affected by hemophilia with inhibitor, who have learned or matured their knowledge on the promotion of self-treatment and have addressed psychosocial issues and medical aspects, participated in the sessions.
During these days, attendees have had the opportunity to live and exchange personal experiences between families and other affected attendees of the conference.
The assistants, who have been accompanied by their parents, have learned during these days in different technical seminars of care and control of the pathology (hemophilia) to improve their quality of life, as prevention of bleeding and arthropathies, and have known the treatment with inhibitors.
The mayor thanked the invitation and the work of Dr. Moreno and his team of the Murcia Regional Association of Hemophilia for transmitting to the Administration his "sensitivity and enthusiasm" for advancing the treatment of patients with this disease and especially for raising awareness of the whole the society.
In addition, it guaranteed the institutional collaboration of the Totanero Consistory in the programs and activities that this center promotes in the future, in the same way it has done so far, with the purpose of improving the quality of life of these people and their families.
