The Association of Rare Diseases D'Genes approved last June 19, in the course of its ordinary general assembly, the budget of the year 2019 of the entity, amounting to 350,000 euros and provides a balance of income and expenses.
During the session, which was held at the "Celia Carrión Pérez de Tudela" Multidisciplinary Center in Totana, the planning of activities for the year 2019 was also given the green light.
In addition, during the meeting, the status of closing of accounts and audit for 2018 was approved, as well as the economic and activity reports for the year 2018. Lastly, reductions were approved in the board of directors, as well as the new incorporations to the same .
The president of D'Genes, Juan Carrión, wanted to record the strength of the association, which currently consists of 549 members, and their professional team and social fabric.
During the assembly, emphasis was placed on aspects such as consolidating the training area or betting on the development of the school support program in the classroom for students with rare diseases or disabilities.
Likewise, some projects were advanced, such as a photographic exhibition to give visibility to the rare diseases that are already being worked on or, as far as possible, the preparation of new specific guides on different pathologies, as has been done year with the educational guide on Fragile X.
