The new sports center of the CEIP "San José" will be operational from the next school year 2019/2020, since the commercial "Servimar 2008, SL", with headquarters in Totana, has already entered the final phase of the works after covering it, according to the Councilor for Works and Infrastructure, Víctor Balsas.
The company has already raised the structure of this infrastructure and would lack the lateral enclosure at half height that will be executed and the placement of the new synthetic rubber pavement, whose foreseeable term will last throughout the month of June.
The mayor recalls that the bidding process was presented a total of 10 construction companies, corresponding to the Works and Services Plan for 2018;
and this project also includes improvements valued at 30,250 euros.
Within the framework of this program, the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration and the City of Totana are materializing this action and will also undertake the rehabilitation of the "Ginés Rosa" Theater of the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel" for the annuities of 2018/2019 , since they were the most supported projects by neighbors in the telematic public consultation held last March and April.
The total budget for both annuities amounted to almost 460,000 euros, of which 430,000 euros are financed by the Autonomous Community, under a grant of 215,000 euros in 2018 and another for the same amount in 2019;
and the remaining 22,500 euros are contributed by the Totanero Consistory.
The Works and Services Plan 2018/2019 has a multi-year nature, covering the expenditure commitment of the Autonomous Community for the amount corresponding to the two annuities, which will allow the possibility of reuse of the remnants that are generated, indicates Balsas.
