The Local Police of Totana participates during this week in a new special campaign of detection of alcohol and drugs behind the wheel that starts the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) on control of the rate of alcohol and the presence of drugs in drivers, and that will be carried out from today June 3 to 9. According to data provided by the DGT, alcohol is present as a concurrent or triggering factor in one third of fatal accidents.
Its presence in driving, depending on its rate, multiplies between 2 and 15 the risk of suffering an accident.

Alcohol not only causes greater accidents, but also has an impact on increased mortality due to a worse prognosis in the injuries suffered.
