Expository message
From August 6 to 12, 2018 the European Athletics Championship was held in absolute category in Berlin;
and was held at the Olympia Stadion in Berlin with a capacity of 76,065 spectators and with a large influx of the public every day of competition.
The Spanish participation got 10 medals.
That same month, from August 20 to 26, the Paralympic European was held at the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark, a sports complex for 20,000 spectators.
In this case the media attention and attendance of the public was much lower and the stands almost empty on all days of the competition.
The Spanish representatives won a total of 28 medals: 8 golds, 13 silvers and 7bronces.
With this exhibition, based on both competitions, we have the opportunity to give greater visibility to all these athletes and show their personal examples of improvement.
Using the words of the actor Jesus Vidal, winner of the award for the revelation actor for the film Champions (2018): "We want to bring visibility, diversity and inclusion in the world of sports and society in general."
