The Local Government Board has recently approved the file for hiring the execution of healthy urban itinerary IS-1 of Lorca Avenue, under a grant granted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to the City Council.
The Autonomous Community granted an aid after the Department of Infrastructures in coordination with the Sports established as a route within the urban area this important way to exercise healthy physical activity.
This cataloging supposed its adaptation following technical criteria of accessibility, and leading this itinerary into a public space, in this case, the Garden of the Red Cross, which is endowed with elements for physical activity;
and that is going to run along the avenue of Lorca, with an extension of 1.1 kilometers.
The subsidy granted by the Ministry amounted to approximately 7,300 euros and the municipal project is around 10,000 euros.
The project has to be contracted given the impossibility of tackling it with municipal resources, due to the insufficiency of material and human resources.
The Councilor for Infrastructure, Víctor Balsas, recalls that this project includes the signaling of the itinerary within the urban area where physical activity can be carried out, as well as the adequacy of the same in terms of accessibility.
