The organization Intergenerational Solidarity will organize, from May 27 to June 13, a training action entitled "Independent life and personal assistant", from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Local Development Center, located in the polygon industrial "El Saladar.
The initiative is funded by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities and has the collaboration of the City of Totana and the COAG-IR, respectively.
This is an entity of elderly people and family members of the rural environment, at the state level, born to provide comprehensive services to the elderly and support carers;
looking for solidarity among the generations that must continue to be a fundamental axis on which to lean when it reaches old age and requires more support and attention.
The contents that will be taught in this course are the following:

In short, it is about training both non-professional caregivers of dependent people, as well as any other person that intends to direct their professional life in this sector, with the aim that at the end of their learning they are prepared to develop this work.
From the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry of the City of Totana all those interested in this subject are encouraged to register in this course, in order that they can have an adequate preparation in line with job offers related to the field of dependency and disability.
Among its objectives is to provide comprehensive care services in rural areas to the elderly in situations of dependency, without forgetting the prevention that has to be developed through active aging programs.
In addition, advocates to increase the welfare and quality of life of older people and their families through the provision of social services, with priority to support services for dependent elderly people and their families. Work is also being done to favor the interventions the permanence of the elderly in their homes, in decent conditions and quality of life;
and guarantee the information and promote the training, human, professional, technical, cultural and social of the elderly in rural areas and family, doing for it the most suitable activities or projects. Also, it is informed that from this same Council that soon, the course of Auxiliary Operations of General and Administrative Services for the unemployed will begin and a Workshop of Social Networks of the Autonomous Community (CECARM).
