The Center for Integral Attention to Victims of Sexual Assault and Abuse (CAVAX) has recently organized a workshop to raise awareness and prevent sexual assault directed at young women in Totana, which was held in the CAVI of the Municipal Social Services Center in this town.
This service, which depends on the General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities, aims to address the problem of sexual violence comprehensively and continuously from the educational, social, psychological and legal perspectives.
The workshop was given by the social educator, Ana María Vidal Pérez, and during the same we want to sensitize, inform and prevent possible risks related mainly to sexual abuse and aggression.
During the same, different activities were launched in order to reflect on different concepts about sexuality, gender violence and typologies of sexual violence.
In addition, work is done on how society normalizes sexual violence, consent in affective-sexual relationships and patterns of action in the face of aggression.
The methodology of the workshop, which lasted one hour and a half, was active and participatory, based on the knowledge of the participants through reflection and work in small groups.
