The councilor for Sports, Isabel María Molino, the general director of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality, Francisco José Martínez Casanova;
and the management members of the Totana Baseball Club Pedro José Pérez and Luisa Martínez, have presented this tournament, which will have the participation of a total of 18 teams in the categories chupetas, prebenjamín and alevín.
The mayor thanked the totanero club for organizing an event that encourages sport among children and also attract many children from other municipalities to enjoy Totana.
Pedro José Pérez stressed that the main objective of this event is to promote the values ​​of sport in children and youth and fight against violence in sport and explained that it will involve about 250 children and there will be about seventy sports volunteers available .
In this regard, he has detailed that four teams will take part in the category of lollipops: Alhama Football School, Playas de Ãguilas Sports Association, Alhama CF and Totana Baseball Club.
In the prebenjamín category, six groups will participate: Playas de Ãguilas Sports Association, Mazarrón Fútbol Base, Alhama Football School, Atlético Torreño, Churra Municipal Soccer Sports School and Totana Baseball Club.
Finally, in alevín eight teams will participate: the Mazarrón Soccer Base, Sports Association Playas de Ãguilas, CD Bala Azul, Club Deportivo La Puerta and three teams of the Baseball Club Totana.
Likewise, it advanced that next May 18 there will also be a tournament in the category of youngest and female children and wanted to emphasize that the Club Fútbol Base Totana is not intended to be just a sports club but a social club and thanked the collaboration and support of the Department of Sports of Totana and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
For her part, Luisa Martínez explained how the sports day that has been organized will be developed, in which there will also be four referees and two table judges, and thanked the collaboration of the sports volunteers.
