The Department of Education of the City of Totana wants to congratulate the three students of the IES Juan de la Cierva of this town that has achieved such a great result recently in the Physics Olympiad in the Region of Murcia, and that will allow them to represent the Autonomous Community in the National Olympiad.
The Physics Olympiad of the Region of Murcia is an annual competition for high school students whose objectives are to promote the teaching of this subject at the regional level, constitute a meeting point between students and teachers, and select the contestants who represent the Region in the Spanish Physics Olympiad.
The three totaneros students participated on March 14 in the local phase of the Region of Murcia, where a total of 105 students participated.
Of these, three students attend the second year of International Baccalaureate in the IES Juan de la Cierva and Codorniú in this locality;
and achieved great participatory success, as they have qualified with the second, fourth and fifth places.
This means that they will represent the Totana teaching center, together with the regional team at the National Physics Olympiad, to be held in Salamanca from April 25 to 28.
The Department reiterates the congratulations to the three students and the professors of the Department of Physics, as well as to the teaching staff and the educational community for staging, once again, the academic and educational referential prominence that, course after course, the IES Juan of the It locks in the pedagogical context and the regional educational panorama.
