The councilors of Promotion and Employment and Economic Development, Antonia Camacho and Juan José Cánovas, have concluded the Course of Attention to Dependent People, organized by the State Association of People and Caregivers in the Rural Environment "Intergenerational Solidarity", which has been held at the Local Development Center of Totana.

In this course, which has lasted 50 hours, a total of 18 people have finally participated and is financed by the European Union, the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and the Environment and the Regional Employment and Training Service, in collaboration with the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry of the City of Totana and also with the collaboration of COAG-IR.

The objective of this training action has been to provide basic and permanent training to non-professional caregivers who care for people in situations of dependency, giving them knowledge about dependence, aging and necessary care, as well as the basic skills to possess.

In short, it has tried to train both non-professional caregivers of dependent people, as well as people who intend to direct their professional lives in this sector, with the aim of preparing them to develop this work.

At the end of the course, the participants have received their corresponding official diploma in charge of the municipal authorities responsible in this matter.

From the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry are being taught more training activities of this topic and others.

In short, we will begin the course of Auxiliary Operations of Administrative and General Services for the unemployed and a Workshop on Social Networks of the Autonomous Community (CECARM).
