The Department of Industry and Economic Development is taking the first steps for the implementation of the extension project coverage of broadband new generation of very high speed, better known as fiber optic, in the industrial estate "El Saladar" of Totana.
Precisely this week, in the offices of PROINVITOSA, the first deputy mayor and councilor of Industry, Juan José Cánovas, the manager of the municipal company, Florencio Martínez, and the manager of the global telecommunications operator Teledistribución Totana, José, met. Mateo Guerrero.
The presidents of the two Conservation Entities of the "El Saladar" industrial estate were also present at the meeting to discuss the start-up of this project.
During this meeting, the head of the telecommunications operator explained what the project to be developed and the technical characteristics of it would be;
which had the interest and approval of the representatives of the employers of the polygon as well as municipal officials.
The need to sign a collaboration agreement between the teleoperator and the City Council for the cession of a public space in the Business Incubator or in the Local Development Center for the location of the GPON management and header systems was also discussed. the placement on the terrace of a satellite dish.
Similarly, the cession by the Consistory of the connection services and sufficient Internet flow in the municipal offices and PROINVITOSA by this telemarketer was discussed.
According to Juan José Cánovas explained, for the execution of this project would be necessary the corresponding municipal license and the use of the networks of Telefónica in the urbanizations of the polygon, so that completed all the procedures would be necessary 4 months to provide service to the companies installed in the polygon.
The present project presented by the telecommunications operator Teledistribución Totana is part of the type A actions of the New Generation Broadband Extension Aid program convened by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
Thus, the actions envisaged in this one have as an objective the extension of the coverage of the access networks of new generation of very high speed, capable of providing access speeds to the user exceeding 100 Mbps.
The selected technology to meet these speed requirements while allowing the extension of coverage consists of a Fixed Broadband Network based on Optical Fiber until
the User (FTTH) implemented under the standard of GPON passive optical networks.
This project includes both the power network and the distribution network to establish the connection with the ships and premises located in this area.
In terms of the infrastructure to be used to carry out the deployment, and taking into account the predominant construction typology of industrial buildings, given that the industrial estate has infrastructures and service pipelines, the underground laying has mainly been considered.
The councilman of Industry added that the polygon aims to facilitate that companies and industries located there begin the adaptation to industry 4.0, so that the broadband connections of very high speed that will be made available, facilitate the adoption of systems and solutions of cybersecurity, cloud computing, big data and analytics, robotics, augmented reality, artificial vision, sensorization, design and additive manufacturing and communication for systems connectivity.
