The Local Development Center of Totana hosts since last March 11 the course "Care for Dependent People", organized by the State Association of People and Caregivers in the Rural Environment "Intergenerational Solidarity", in which a total of 25 participants students.
This training action lasts 50 hours and ends on March 28;
being funded by the European Union, the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment and the Regional Employment and Training Service.
In addition, it has the invaluable collaboration of the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry of the City of Totana and the Confederation of Farmers and Livestock Organizations (COAG).
The objective of this training is to give basic and permanent training to non-professional caregivers who care for people in situations of dependency, giving them knowledge about dependence, aging and necessary care, as well as the basic skills to possess.

In short, it is about training both non-professional caregivers of dependent people, as well as any other person that intends to direct their professional life in this sector, with the aim that at the end of their learning they are prepared to develop this work.
At the end of the course, participants will receive an official diploma.
From the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry are being taught more training activities of this topic and others.
Shortly, the course of Auxiliary Operations of General and Administrative Services for the unemployed will begin and a Workshop of Social Networks of the Autonomous Community (CECARM).
