? Virginia Martínez was born in Murcia in April 1987;
and studied Artistic Baccalaureate in Lorca, and then Fine Arts at the University of Granada.
In 2010 he began his first works on the human figure and in 2011 his final project entitled 'Body and soul.
Beats in time 'was the antecedent to the project' Body as a place for art ', where his own body becomes an artistic support more. In the center of his work has always been the human figure, understood as a physical and psychic body , as a compound composed of the invisible (interior-soul) and the visible (exterior-body).
The body is for the artist a container of ideas, emotions and memories of a memory that never stops renewing.
The artist points out that "I am not interested in being left alone with a superficial aesthetic, with the banal, but to achieve, even if only a small part, that mysterious and unknown side that the body envelops and protects." I work in a permanent search for identity, I am interested in emotions: issues such as the passage of time, death, women, struggle and the intangible side of people, among others. "His work is intended to make visible and provoke 'something', whether positive or negative, who sees their jobs;
At the moment, although he continues painting, like portraits by order and other stories, in his more personal works and artistic projects, which are those that nourish his personal growth and to which he gives a special importance, center in the combination of photography, collage and drawing to deal with the topics that interest him.
