Club Totana TM finally participated Gabriel Sánchez in category alevin and Julián Méndez in senior, after the loss of Pedro José Sánchez, who also managed to qualify.
Gabriel was the first of the two to enter the game on Friday, in which, although he began his two confrontations hesitantly, he managed to overcome and solve them with two victories by 3-1 and 3-2 against the Andalusian Iván Urquízar and Galician Xoan Vila, respectively.
On Saturday morning, despite developing better game than the previous day, he lacked in the key moments the concentration and the luck necessary to take victory.
The defeat by 3-1 against the Catalan Martí Garrido forced him to win his two remaining games to pass phase.
He managed to win first in a tight game Alonso Rincon Almeria, 3-2, but finally yielded to Madrid Juan López in another exciting 3-1, thus being out of the group stage to finish in fourth position of the group by a triple tie.
Julián had a difficult ballot in this demanding competition in which he would measure rivals in the First National and Honor Division categories already in the group stage.
He managed to face some of them but finally finished in fifth position as a group, after missing the opportunity to win one of their matches, which yielded 3-2, with a final 11-9, against the Galician Lucas Rodríguez.
He also bowed to the Basque Eder Vallejo and Sevilla's Carlos García, 3-0, as well as Alberto Gómez from Madrid, 3-1.
This competition will serve, however, to face the last stretch of league competition in better shape and with more experience.
NEXT WEEKEND THE LEAGUES ARE BACK
Next Saturday February 23 will be the day 17 of national leagues.
In Segunda Nacional, the Totana Promesas will face at home against Atlético San Javier, without margin of error in the face of the fight for the promotion phase, while the Totana TM team, with the goal of permanence, will face one of the roosters of this group 8, the CTM Ilicitano, which occupies the second position.
He will do it, also as a visitor, on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
In Third National, for its part, the Totana "B" will play a match also on Saturday afternoon, in the Prince of Asturias Pavilion of Murcia, before the Veterans CD Murcia.
A victory would strengthen our team in the third position of the table.
