Members of the totanero musical group "La Calle del Silencio" have recently visited the Day Centers for Disability of the City of Totana, within the activities promoted to interact with users of both centers and promote their personal and social autonomy.
The musicians interpreted some of the themes of their last album, "El testamento del zorro viejo", and shared with the users matters related to the musical field;
while they enjoyed live music, they talked about versions and other musical themes.
Users and professionals from the Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities "José Moyá Trilla" and the Day Center for People with Mental Illness participated;
and they had the company of the Councilor for Social Welfare, Javier Baños.
With this type of activities, it is intended to promote self-esteem and emotional balance by improving their cognitive abilities, and to enhance participation and social integration through music.
In addition, its multisensory and coexistence stimulation is promoted, and social and communication skills are enhanced, as well as motor skills and physical development.
