The Local Government Board has recently agreed the proposal of the Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, to grant an economic contribution, amounting to 8,000 euros, the Illustrious Chapter of Totana Superior Processions in order to defray part of the costs incurred in the accomplishment of activities carried out within the program of the Holy Week of the year 2018.
This economic aid comes to respond to the written request presented by the Illustrious Superior Chapter of Processions to collaborate, in part, with the expenses derived from the program in this municipality during the year that now ends;
and in which is attached a detailed report of all the processions and cultural events developed during this year, as well as an economic summary of the expenses incurred.
The Department of Culture positively assesses the granting of such assistance, as is being done annually, at the request made considering the obvious cultural interest of the event, and taking into account that the Holy Week of Totana is declared as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, being besides one of the most participatory events in the municipality.
