The Department of Sports of the City of Totana has completed the work of replanting the lawn of the municipal football stadium "Juan Cayuela" in order to make use in the best conditions of this facility until the end of this season.
The football field is scheduled to be used in a reasonable time, as determined by the indications of the technical services that have undertaken the work and continue these days with the work of its maintenance and tuning.
The work of arrangement was made since late November by the company "Servicésped, SL", with registered office in Elche (Alicante), and still this week are performed maintenance after germination, with a budget that amounts to 7,661.50 euros
The first performances consisted of the elimination of the grass and aerated land by punctured hollow in order to decompact the surface of the playing field.
Subsequently, we proceeded to the work of reseeding with winter grass, so that it was necessary to wait until the lawn germinated about 15 days, a time that has depended on and been dependent on the weather conditions to start the treatment of the new grass.
The care to use, again, the football field is usually extended about a month and a half, according to the technicians, so that until the second half of January you can not step on the lawn at full capacity, thus ensuring its maintenance until next summer.
