The Department of Services to the City and Infrastructure is undertaking an integral rehabilitation of the Padre Crisóstomo Garden, also known as Blue Park, within the framework of the actions included in the program of the Regional Councils of Employment for the improvement of parks, gardens and zones. green of the municipality.
The councilman of the branch, Víctor Balsas, has informed that among the works that are being carried out in the Blue Park stand out the general improvement of parterres;
the replacement of covers, lands and gravels;
the improvement and replacement of the irrigation installation;
and the planting of shrub and cover plants.
In addition, within the framework of this program, other similar actions will be undertaken in the gardens of the Plaza de La Libertad and El Condado (both in the La Ceramica urbanization), in the landscaping of Oviedo Street, in the park garden municipal "Marcos Ortiz" and in the fairground and landscaping of San Francisco de Asís street.
In the Blue Park, work has been undertaken to create new beds and improve existing ones with new ornament in order to avoid the progressive erosion of the soil and slopes;
replacement of lands and decorative gravels;
improvement and expansion of the irrigation network, providing greater efficiency;
and removal of trees in bad phytosanitary condition and planting of a new one, said councilor Víctor Balsas.
