The month of October will conclude the programming of events organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Totana to commemorate the Centennial of the City with the presentation, this Sunday, the 28th of the Booklet about the Municipal Cemetery "Our Lady of Carmen" (12: 00 hours), in the chapel itself, whose author has been the historian and chronicler Juan Cánovas Mulero.
The publication will be sold at the price of five euros each copy for the benefit of the two Parish Caritas of Santiago and the Three Hail Marys in Totana, respectively.
More than a dozen varied activities completed the program of cultural and social events scheduled by the Department to culminate the last quarter of the Centennial of the City 1918-2018, which is held until December this year to commemorate this event.
In these months, since September, numerous activities have been held such as "Flamenco Painting", in the interior courtyard "Hotel Jardines de La Santa", organized by the Musical Association "Con Forza";
and the exhibition "Totana, in centesimo anno suo (1918-2018)", a journey through the creative identity of some of its notable architects.
In addition, the presentation of the magazine "Totana Ciudad, 1918", in a facsimile edition, took place;
the round table entitled "The arrival of the transfer to Totana: Finally the water!";
the concert by Ginés Martínez & Orquesta Con Forza;
and the conference "Urban development of Totana in the mid-twentieth century" by Mariola López Lorca and Antonio Campos Cánovas, in the municipal exhibition hall "Gregorio Cebrián".

For the next few weeks, the organization has already closed several commemorative activities, promoted by the Department of Culture, as is the celebration, from 16 to 18 November, of an acclimated Modernist Market, which will take place during the aforementioned weekend at the Plaza of the Constitution of the city.
In addition, on Thursday, November 22, at 8:30 pm, in the municipal exhibition hall "Gregorio Cebrián", the book "Aledo y Totana in the XV and XVI centuries, territory, landscape and history", by the historian will be presented local José Antonio Sánchez Pravia.
In addition, the event will feature the performance of the group "Cuerdas y Voces de Totana" that will present the musical composition "De Totana como ciudad" (lyrics and music by Alfonso Gallego).
The ambitious program of events will conclude on Friday December 14, already immersed in the patron saint festivities of Santa Eulalia, with the celebration of the Closing Concert of the Centenary, in the parish church of Santiago el Mayor, in which a commissioned work will be performed. this historic occasion to the composer Juan Miguel Murani.
