The councilman of the Popular Municipal Group in the City of Totana, Francisco José Martínez Casanova, formally presented yesterday his resignation to the act of councilor to join immediately as general director of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
This has been approved today, in addition, the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community chaired by Fernando López Miras meeting in ordinary session, among whose agreements has given the green light to the appointment as new general director to the already ex totanero councilor, whose position in the Ministry It was vacant for weeks.
Francisco José Martínez Casanova joined, for the first time, the public activity in the current term 2015/2019, after being elected councilor by the Popular Group in the last municipal elections, in whose candidacy led by Isabel María Sánchez Ruiz, held the post Number two on the list.
Martinez Casanova, 46 years old, is married and has two children;
and is a teacher of Physical Education at the "Reina Sofia" School of Totana and entrepreneur.
The Popular Municipal Group must now designate a person to replace the outgoing mayor for the remainder of the term.
The following in the candidature and possible substitutes are: Andrés López González (Agricultural Technician);
Rubén Navarro Andreo (University Expert in Photography and Visual Arts and Draftsman);
Francisco Jesús Martínez Vera (English Teacher);
Eulalia Hernández López (Businesswoman) and Pedro Bermejo Cánovas (Rancher).
In this legislature, they have already left their minutes as councilor Asensio Soler Campoy (Citizens) -April 2017- and José María Sánchez Pascual (PP) -June 2016-;
which were replaced in the municipal Corporation by Juan Carlos Carrillo and María Isabel Rubio de la Peña, respectively.
