The Department of Youth of the City of Totana reports that last week met, for the first time, the recently created Municipal Commission for Children and Youth, which is constituted as an organ of participation in the planning, organization and evaluation of actions in the field of childhood and youth.
This commission aims to ensure the participation of Children and Youth in the development of the social, cultural and political life of Totana, defend the rights and interests of children and youth, in addition to promoting youth associations.
In short, what is intended, together with the members of this committee, is to propose, agree, plan, coordinate, carry out and evaluate actions in the field of childhood and youth.
The Municipal Commission for Children and Youth was chaired by the Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, and attended by municipal technicians, representatives of political groups, youth associations, student associations, associations working with children and youth, Federation of Associations and Youth Correspondents in the IES of the municipality of Totana.
In this first contact, the "Aula-Konect @" project was presented by the Local Police and with the aim of creating the creation of a meeting space for the group of minors.
The councilor reported on the resources offered by different councils aimed at programs and services for child and youth dynamization, and that may be launched for next year.
All participants in the commission welcomed the creation of this commission and made contributions to work with children and young people in all areas.
